Code of Conduct:
Expectations:
•Be up to date on team events by logging into forums.
•Participation in team events is key.
•Team failure is never attributed to only one person. Never try to blame a single person for team faults.
•Respect and consideration is required even in the face of adversity and stupidity.
•The golden rule applies to everyone, especially people you don’t get along with.
•Be accountable for your assigned tasks, but don’t be afraid to ask for help.
•Communication with the team about progress of goals, problems in accomplishing them, and constructive suggestions.
•During meetings, be respectful and listen. Comment only when appropriate; goof off at other times.
Behavior and Academic Responsibility
•Be professional at all times, but don’t be afraid to laugh & smile. This includes language.
•You are expected to be passing all classes with a ‘C’ or better to attend “away” trips and build season.
•Breaking school regulations and/or local/state/federal laws will be treated as an additional infraction to the team. In other words, your actions are reflected on the team, don’t make us look bad.
•Represent your team well. Wear clothing appropriate to team functions. Always wear a belt.
Consequences
•Lack of attendance will result in not being able to attend team functions. (75% of meetings & fundraisers excepting excused absences)
•Behavioral infractions:
- At events
*Sit downs
*Removal of participation
*Calls home
-At meetings
*Verbal and “Chalkal” assault by Mr. G
*Told to go home.
- Outside of meetings
*Suspension
*Calls home
•Academic Infractions
-Suspension until resolved
•Personal Infractions
-Forced mediation
-Suspension
-Expulsion |
